About the Conference

The objective of the 1st Brazilian Meeting on Boiling, Condensation, and Multiphase Flow is to serve as an open forum for new results and emerging trends on research conducted in Brazil and abroad in the fields of Boiling, Condensation, and Multiphase Flow, with a special emphasis on Gas-Liquid Systems.

The event is organized by the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Department of Mechanical Engineering, and  Santa Catarina Chapter of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering (ABCM), and will be held at the Quinta da Bica d’Água Hotel, in Florianopolis, on April 28-29 2008, starting on Sunday 27 with the welcome reception.

Professionals in universities, companies, and research institutions, as well as graduate and undergraduate students are invited to participate and to submit their work for oral or poster presentation. Invited lectures will be given by prominent researchers in the field.
